Tony what was your most memorable football game in the NFL?
"I would have to say Super Bowl XII... for the simple fact it was my rookie year I got the opportunity to score the first touchdown of that game for the Dallas Cowboys and of course we went on to beat the Denver Broncos 27-10... Being World Champions, that's what it's all about at this level. We're all conditioned, trained, brain washed, whatever term you want to use to be the best that we can be and of course get to the big dance.. not only get there and win it, but what an experience in my rookie year.
What does it feel like to run into the endzone at Texas Stadium?
It's always a good feeling to run into the endzone regardless if it's Texas Stadium or if we're up in Green Bay... Lambeau Field or anywhere. It all feels good, because your doing something productive and again, that's what the business is all about; producing, being productive and contributing to your teams success... being part of that team effort... family effort... pulling and everyone fighting for the same common denominator ... so anytime I stepped into the endzone it was a great feeling.
What type of advice would you give these college seniors as they embark on their NFL journey?
You can't make the club in the tub... as the old saying goes, so the thing is you have to get out there at this level at the NFL level it's like night and day. Things move a little faster, the thing you have to do is learn your particular scheme of things; offense and defense as fast as you can. Stay on the field as much as you can. Just let the chips fall where they may. The thing is you want to be instinctive, you don't want to be out there second guess'n... So the sooner you can learn the system the better off you will be.
What do you think about the new XFL... What kind of future does it have?
I don't know. It's always good to see options out there in whatever line of work your in... McMahon has done alot of incredible things with the WWF. Now they have NBC, I guess come on board with them too so... you have two successful entities coming together, maybe they will have some success... I don't know, its a wait and see type attitude that I have right now. Some of my friends are involved in it... I.E. Drew Person amongst others and I would like to see those people be successful. But playing football in Febuary in New York in the middle of winter is going to interesting.
